COVID-19 is a real disruption – to our daily lives, to our work, to our churches – to everything, really. When this pandemic and its lockdowns began a year ago, we could not foresee where we would end up. And we still don’t really know how this is all going to turn out.
The same can be said for the church. Last year, just into the Lenten season, churches and pastors and staff had to pivot to a completely different way of ministering. Many were able to quickly begin or expand online worship opportunities. In a way, it could be said that the church finally caught up to where the rest of the world existed.
How is this disruption, and resulting shift in ministry, leading us? In this season of preparation for the resurrection, how is the church itself being resurrected?
I share my thoughts in this video. I’d love to continue this discussion with you, anytime!
