Episode 22 of How We Do Digital Ministry features Sammy Kelly of Digivangelism, an organization whose mission is to help progressive leaders of spiritual communities reach people online with hope, healing, and light. Sammy talks with Christopher Harris about reaching people online, especially through social media, including “going viral,” failing, and everything in between.
It’s easy to try to make it about the church or the community at large, which it is, but people connect with people. And so when your staff shows up, when your leadership, your volunteers show up, when your pastor shows up online and shows their face and connects with people, there’s something very valuable that happens. And I think real connection can form there.
